Objective

The Analyst Selection folio was developed for investors seeking high capital appreciation potential with higher volatility and asset turnover.

Strategy

The Analyst Selection folio consists of stocks with the strongest buy ratings from equity analysts covering the respective stocks.

Analysts rate equities from a numerical scale of 1 (strongest buy rating) to 5 (strongest sell rating). As such, the closer a stock’s rating is to 1, the more strongly analysts recommend the stock. Markets and economic conditions can change quickly and well-liked companies can quickly go out of favor.

* Returns reflect model performance from the Inception Date to the Date Funded, and funded performance since the Date Funded, if funded. Your returns may deviate significantly from the values displayed here, due to many factors, including how long after a strategy has been updated that you place orders to update your holdings.

Steps to Create This Folio

  1. We examined buy ratings by Wall Street equity analysts for all stocks in the S&P 500, as reported by Zacks Investment Research. Zacks gives each company a rating in the form of a number ranging from 1 to 5. The lower the number, the more strongly the equity analyst recommends buying that particular stock and vice versa as a sell rating for a higher number.
  2. We selected the 30 stocks with the strongest buy rating and therefore, the lowest average score.
  3. We equally weighted all securities in the folio.

Number of Securities

There are generally 30 securities in the folio.

Update Frequency

Monthly.

If the characteristics of the folio have changed substantially, the securities included may change. Also, corporate actions, such as a merger, or other events may cause changes to the securities held at any time. Your returns may deviate significantly from the values displayed here, due to many factors, including how long after a folio has been updated that you place orders to update your holdings.
