Objective

The Short-Term Aggressive folio was developed for investors seeking higher capital appreciation with higher volatility while still having a short-term time horizon (within the next 4 years).

Strategy

The Short-Term Aggressive folio consists of ETFs selected to provide a diversified asset allocation for the designated risk tolerance and time frame.

Asset allocation is a diversification strategy to better enable risk management. In general, a portfolio that holds different asset classes—such as bonds, domestic, and international stocks—can help reduce the volatility of returns, since asset classes tend not to move in tandem.

* Returns reflect unfunded model performance from the Inception Date to the present. Your returns may deviate significantly from the values displayed here, due to many factors, including how long after a strategy has been updated that you place orders to update your holdings. No membership or trading fees (other than the indirect cost of the bid-ask spread applicable whenever a transaction is conducted) are included in reported performance.

Steps to Create This Folio

  1. We gathered data examining multiple exchange-traded funds (ETFs) according market capitalization, the diversity of the fund’s holdings, volatility, and expense ratios as well as quarterly, annual, and lifetime returns.
  2. From this list, we applied a capital asset theory to achieve broad asset allocation and diversification.
  3. We weighted each ETF in the folio based on the risk factor and time horizon targeted for this folio.

Number of Securities

There are generally 10 securities in the folio.

Update Frequency

Quarterly.

If the characteristics of the Folio have changed substantially, the securities included may change. Also, corporate actions, such as a merger, or other events may cause changes to the securities held at any time. Your returns may deviate significantly from the values displayed here, due to many factors, including how long after a folio has been updated that you place orders to update your holdings. RTGs are updated using market data from multiple sources including Zacks Investment Research ( www.zacks.com ), International Data Corporation (IDC) ( www.idc.com ), and other suppliers.
