Content Marketing Manager

We are looking for a prolific and talented content creator to write and produce various projects, to expand our company’s digital footprint, awareness, subscribers, and leads. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills. You will work with marketing stakeholders, including demand generation, sales enablement, public relations, community management, and channels/verticals. Goals include: attracting site traffic and social followers, driving new sales leads, empowering sales with relevant content to send prospects, and fueling PR and influencer relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Create regular content to be marketed via all inbound and traditional channels (social, email, blog, landing pages, eBooks, infographics, guides, web, presentations, screen shows, brochures, flyers, speeches, etc.).
  • Make data-driven decisions to move our content forward and hit company goals.
  • Serve as an evangelist for our message, brand, and content through thought leadership and blogging, social media, and speaking.
  • Perform in-depth research to support content development, including interviewing subject matter experts and gathering and interpreting data.
  • Manage content creation agencies and freelancers.
  • Grow our subscriber base by providing them regular, helpful content that’s in-tune with their needs.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • BA/BS with an emphasis in journalism, English, marketing and/or economics.
  • Experienced in writing for asset and/or wealth management is preferred.
  • Past experience producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, SlideShare, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
  • Past experience building audiences either online or offline.
  • In-depth knowledge of HubSpot or Salesforce/Pardot to produce smart CTAs according to visitor lifecycle stage.
  • A dual-minded approach: You’re highly creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required; proficiency Adobe CS a plus.
  • Experienced in incorporating graphs, charts and imagery into materials to produce pieces that are clear, credible and accurate.

Java Software Engineer

The Java Software Engineer will help us build and enhance our integrated brokerage and technology trading platform. This is a great opportunity to participate in the design and construction of a modern, high-throughput transaction system with a creative team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop back-end application code for customer-facing financial services products
  • Research, design and develop market-leading trading system components
  • Develop in a test-oriented fast-paced environment
  • Coordinate with the product management team during technical design
  • Resolve defects during QA testing and in post-release patches

Required Skills and Experience:

JavaScript Software Engineer

The JavaScript Software Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the front-end for our web properties, coordinating with our design team to modernize our existing user experience, and also collaborating on new projects. The ideal candidate is a web engineer who is highly proficient in HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, and extension libraries, that also has an eye for design.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop on a full stack JavaScript presentation tier for our web properties.
  • Work with other UI, UX, and Visual Designers to maintain a modern user experience.
  • Collaborate with server side engineers/project managers on new initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of developing rich, customer-facing web applications.

We are looking for a high-performing Sales Manager to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. This requires a high degree of functional experience in the company’s primary institutional markets: Registered Investment Advisors, Turnkey Asset Management Providers, Broker/Dealers, Robo-Advisors, Qualified Retirement Plans and Third Party Administrators as well as others in the professionally intermediated financial services space. You will be responsible for maximizing the potential of our sales, creating and implementing sales plans and securing agreement from senior management on those plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing a regionally based sales team
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensures it’s strong presence by region
  • Actively own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives

Product Development Project Management Senior Associate/Vice President

The Product Development Senior Associate or VP will help lead the product development process for our brokerage operations group.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as integral part of a team responsible for the design, development, approval, training, and communication of new financial services products and enhancements to existing products for Folio’s integrated brokerage and technology platform
  • Identify business and functional requirements and design products that support corporate goals and the sales objectives of each product
  • Identify and address customer, operational, system, & process impacts in product design and launch strategies for developed products
  • Analyze internal and customer business processes, and draft business requirement documents that address system updates and enhancements

Senior Compliance Professional/Chief Compliance Officer - Investment Advisory Businesses

The firm also has two wholly-owned subsidiary registered investment advisors through which it offers a variety of advisory services and technology to support the offerings of unaffiliated investment advisors.

Folio’s main office is in McLean, VA, but the role also could be performed out of Folio’s offices in Colorado Springs, CO.

The Senior Compliance Professional/Chief Compliance Officer - Investment Advisory Businesses (“IA Compliance Officer”) will be a leader in operating and enhancing a compliance program for the firm’s SEC-registered investment advisor entities that provide online advisory services to individual investors, other investment professionals and clients through advisor representatives. He or she may be called upon to engage in compliance-related matters that arise with respect to services provided to investment adviser clients of an affiliated registered broker-dealer. The IA Compliance Officer will play a critical and highly involved role as a member of the firm’s legal and compliance team.

The IA Compliance Officer will work directly with members of the senior leadership team and will lead and strengthen the firm’s investment advisory business legal and compliance effort to manage compliance risk effectively and within the company’s overall risk tolerance. This person also will interact frequently with other legal and compliance executives at the firm as well as Federal and state regulators, auditors, examiners and other external parties.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and developing methods to mitigate compliance risks to the firm.
  • Reviewing new business initiatives and providing input relating to compliance with relevant laws, rules and regulations.
  • Evaluating regulatory developments that impact the firm and developing cost effective compliance approaches (e.g., DOL Fiduciary Rule and developing regulatory schema applicable to robo-advisors).

Senior Tax Analyst

Folio Investing is seeking an experienced, dynamic Senior Tax Analyst to join our growing Client Services team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Folio is in compliance with IRS regulatory standards in support of its client tax reporting obligations
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all 1099 tax forms, cost basis accounting (CBA) entries, 1042-S & 5498 tax forms to Folio’s Retail and Registered Investment Advisor client segments
  • Oversee delivery of tax data to vendors and the quality of tax forms delivered to clients
  • Help to establish policies and procedures for timely and accurate client tax reporting
  • Assist clients with problem resolution in tax reporting areas
