December 11, 2009 – Living in the Great White North has its ups and downs. On the plus side, you can get a Tim Horton’s (NYSE:THI) coffee and donut on almost every street corner. On the down side, the financial services industry isn’t nearly as robust. Sure, Canadian banks are as solid as they come but innovators they are not.
Peer-to-Peer Lending Companies Operate in Most States
November 28, 2009 – Peer-to-peer lending companies, such as Prosper and Lending Club, must comply with regulations regarding commercial lending in each state that they operate in. For this reason, Lending Club and Prosper don’t operate in all 50 states yet, but they do operate in quite a few.
